Horticulturist

Our esteemed client an established MNC is searching for a Horticulturist (Leader):

Job Responsibilities

• Manage plan design propose implement and supervise all new & existing landscape plantings and improvement works as needed or directed within all Club premises.
• Prepare and control approved annual operating and capital budgets for landscape.
• Conduct manage and followup with the entire tender process for the landscape tender.
• Draft up approval papers to the General Manager for all matters pertaining to landscape.
• Manage contracts pertaining to landscape.
• Ensure compliance with the audit processes and procedures and completeness and accuracy of documents requested.
• Perform daily routine checks supervise manage groups of inhouse landscape specialists and contract workers to ensure the proper upkeep and maintenance of all landscape areas.
• Check and monitor the healthy growth of all plants particularly all trees and palms within all Club premises and prepare tree audit reports when necessary.
• Work closely with the Course Superintendent for all required needs pertaining to landscaping and execute required works in a timely manner.
• Purchase and arrangements of festive season plants indoor plant arrangements for special events etc when required.
• Application and submission for various certification programmes (e.g. Audubon Cooperative).

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in Horticulture and Landscape Maintenance or equivalent
• At least 2 3 years of experience in similar capacity
• Ability to lead a group of inhouse landscape specialists and contract workers
• Ability to identify diseased dead dying and potentially hazardous trees
• Ability to identify areas for future landscape enhancements
• Good knowledge on behavioral traits of trees and plants
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work independently

Additional Information:

• Salary: Up to SGD 3300 AWS VB
• Working Location: East
