Job Description

Job Title: Associate Corporate Counsel

Location: Wendell North Carolina (Onsite)

Company Overview:

Join a leading South Korean agricultural machinery manufacturer established in 1947 and headquartered in Daegu South Korea. The product line includes tractors combine harvesters allterrain utility vehicles and engines.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detailoriented Associate Corporate Counsel with 2 to 5 years of experience in legal compliance corporate governance and business law. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in compliance particularly within the manufacturing sector and bilingual proficiency in Korean and English is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement compliance programs and policies.
  • Provide legal advice on corporate commercial and regulatory matters to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
  • Draft review and negotiate various business agreements including dealership and supply contracts.
  • Oversee corporate governance practices and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Advise on risk management related to regulatory and compliance issues in the manufacturing industry.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (HR finance operations) to mitigate legal risks.
  • Stay informed on legal developments and industry trends.
  • Support dispute resolution and litigation management as needed.
  • Assist with other legal functions and special projects.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in one or more U.S. states.
  • 2 to 5 years of legal experience focused on corporate and compliance matters preferably in manufacturing or auto industries.
  • Bilingual in English and Korean languages preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
