Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements ensuring compliance with PFRS GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
- Ensure proper accounting records are maintained and review reconciliation of accounts including bank reconciliations balance sheet accounts and intercompany accounts.
- Supervise the staff to ensure deliverables are executed timely and properly.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends variances and opportunities for process improvements.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial and regulatory audits providing the necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency and accuracy.
- Work closely with other departments such as Loans Treasury Branch Operations Risk and Compliance to ensure financial data is accurate and meets reporting requirements.
- Prepare special financial reports and analyses as requested by senior management.
What were looking for:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is highly recommended.
- 35 years of experience in financial reporting preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards (PFRS GAAP) proficiency in accounting software (e.g. GL System) and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical problemsolving and communication skills with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of banking regulations compliance requirements and the ability to stay updated with changes in financial reporting standards.
