Clinical Nurse Specialist CVICU
Location: Santa Clara CA
Responsibilities:
- Clinical Expertise: Provide expert consultation and guidance to nurses and other healthcare providers in the CVICU.
- Education & Mentorship: Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff ensuring competency and adherence to best practices in cardiovascular care.
- Research & EvidenceBased Practice: Lead research initiatives and translate evidencebased findings into practice to improve patient care in the CVICU.
- Quality Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in patient care processes and outcomes and lead initiatives to implement change in the CVICU.
- System Improvement: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement strategies to enhance the overall quality of care in the CVICU.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelors degree in Nursing required.
- Masters degree in a clinical field of nursing or a clinical field related to nursing (e.g. psychology public health social work education health sciences behavioral sciences nutrition bioethics) from a nationally accredited masters/postmasters nursing academic program.
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the area of clinical specialty (CVICU or critical care).
- Licensure/Certification:
- Active Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) Certificate in California.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in California.
- Current BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
- ACLS or PALS Certification.
