About the Role:
In this onsite fulltime role you’ll work directly with project personnel fostering a culture of safety health and emergency preparedness. Haztech will arrange travel from home to site and provide accommodations as needed allowing you to focus on ensuring safety and providing essential medical response support.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Safety Officer/Coordinator with Haztech you will:
Lead onsite safety operations and promote a proactive safety culture.
Conduct safety inspections risk assessments and incident investigations.
Provide immediate EMRlevel medical care in emergency situations.
Deliver safety training programs and ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.
Collaborate with project teams to enforce safety policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for safety and incident reporting.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required Qualifications:
Licensed Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics.
National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designation.
Current CPR/First Aid certification.
Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety practices.
Preferred Experience:
2 years of experience in a safety officer/coordinator role within industries such as construction mining or resource sectors.
Proven ability to lead safety programs and respond effectively to emergencies.
Excellent communication leadership and teamwork skills.
Selfmotivated and adaptable with a commitment to fostering a safe and healthy work environment.
