Comeths mission is to bridge the gap between the conveniences of Web2 and the security of Web3. In this regard we are strengthening our compliance unit for the provision of regulated HybridCustody and Recovery services.
These innovative services are dedicated to the secure management of digital assets for businesses and individuals. They aim to offer a reliable compliant and advanced custody solution to meet the growing security needs in managing digital assets for both individuals and professionals.
As Compliance Officer you will be responsible for ensuring that Cometh strictly complies with all applicable regulations and compliance standards. Your role will be to develop and oversee the implementation of effective compliance programs to protect the business from regulatory and legal risks.
Tasks
Development and Implementation of Compliance Policies:
- Design and implement robust compliance policies aligned with applicable laws and regulations.
- Ensure that all compliance policies are tailored to Comeths specific activities and communicated effectively to all staff.
Risk Monitoring and Management:
- Continuously monitor and assess compliance risks associated with the companys business operations identifying new trends and potential emerging risks.
- Develop proactive strategies to mitigate identified risks and ensure continued compliance working closely with operational teams.
Training and Awareness:
- Provide regular training on compliance policies and procedures at all levels of the organization emphasizing the importance of adhering to internal regulations and standards.
- Actively raise employee awareness of compliance issues and encourage a culture of ethics and compliance within the company by organizing information sessions and awareness campaigns.
Internal and External Audit:
- Plan and carry out regular internal audits to assess the effectiveness of compliance controls analyzing processes and systems to identify any gaps.
- Coordinate external audits conducted by regulatory bodies or third parties providing necessary information and ensuring transparent cooperation.
Collaboration with Regulatory Bodies:
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with regulatory authorities and agencies keeping them informed of the companys compliance activities and responding to their requests in an accurate and timely manner.
Security Incident Management:
- Lead security incident response including incident identification analysis and resolution by coordinating the efforts of technical teams and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure transparent communication with relevant stakeholders including customers and regulatory authorities providing regular updates on the situation and implementing effective corrective measures to prevent future incidents.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a compliance role preferably in the gaming or blockchain technology industry. Specific experience in the Web3 sector would be an asset.
- Excellent knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards including data protection antimoney laundering and information security laws.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective compliance policies with a solid understanding of compliance and governance best practices.
- Ability to analyze and assess compliance risks as well as develop strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure continued compliance.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders including regulatory authorities and regulatory bodies.
- Ability to effectively manage security incidents including incident identification analysis and resolution as well as ensuring transparent communication with relevant stakeholders.
- University degree in a relevant field such as law finance business management or compliance or equivalent experience. Professional certification in compliance or risk management would be an advantage.
