Job Description

Special Education Teacher Immediate Start Date!

Work Hours: 37.5 Hours per week

Caseload: Elementary School Students

Setting: SelfContained Classroom

As a Special Education Teacher you will develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to meet each students unique needs. Your role involves creating a structured and supportive classroom environment that fosters both academic and personal growth. You will conduct regular assessments to identify students educational needs and monitor their progress. Collaboration with general education teachers specialists and families will be essential in ensuring a holistic approach to student learning. Adapting curriculum and instructional methods to accommodate diverse learning styles will be a key responsibility. Additionally you will maintain accurate records of students progress and IEP goals ensuring compliance with educational standards. By providing emotional and social support you will promote a positive and enriching learning experience for all students.

Requirements

Illinois ESE K12 Certification.
Bachelors Degree in Special Education or related degree.
Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities.
Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role.
