Job Description

Office Services Clerk Maternity Contract

Our client one of Canada's leading business law firms is seeking a fulltime Office Services Clerk 1 (Opening / Catering OS Clerk) to join their team on a oneyear maternity leave contract starting at the end of January 2025. This position offers a regular schedule of 7:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday with the expectation of occasional overtime to cover vacation/sick leave absences or for setup/cleanup of office events.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Boardroom Services / Hospitality:

    • Set up and clean up for meetings hosted in the office.
    • Manage catering food orders and beverage requests.
    • Maintain the meeting rooms and reception space.
    • Provide support for event setup and cleanup as needed.
  2. Maintenance of Kitchens and Food Supply Stock:

    • Daily maintenance of the kitchen servery and lawyers' lounge.
      • Restock supplies.
      • Check milk supply.
      • Ensure overall tidiness.
      • Maintain the espresso machine.
    • Arrange service and repairs for all kitchen equipment.
    • Handle weekly Aramark orders.
    • Manage weekly grocery orders for the lawyers' lounge and kitchens.
    • Oversee Flavia recycling and Canadian Linen laundry.
    • Maintain community boards and community shelves.
  3. Other Duties:

    • Crosstrain on other office services duties to provide departmental support as needed.
      • Assist with courier/mail room tasks and coverage.
      • Provide reception coverage.
      • Manage facilities and supply/copy room maintenance and requests.
    • Assist with LAA/lawyer print service requests.
    • Support business services requests.
    • Provide emergency preparedness support.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Detailoriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Experience in a similar role or in an office environment is preferred.

Salary: $45000 $50000 per annum based on experience.
