Job Description
We are looking for a Solution Architect (m/f/d) for our customer in Munich resp. remote.
The role is part of a progam of the Underwriting Platform. The platform with its components is the main application to support pricing and policy administration (apart from accounting) for the clients NonLife reinsurance business.
This role is part of a team focusing on modernising a Windows Forms application in order to improve performance scalability and maintainability.

Your tasks
The overall task is to technically lead the offshore development team with colleagues from a thirdparty provider
Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and oversight to the development team ensuring adherence to industry best practices clean code principles and company coding standards.
Legacy Modernization: Develop and implement a strategic plan to modernize our legacy Windows Forms application leveraging C# and .NET technologies to improve performance scalability and maintainability.
API Design: Design develop and implement RESTful APIs to integrate with our legacy application ensuring seamless data exchange and adherence to industry standards.
Code Quality: Foster a culture of clean code emphasizing simplicity readability and testability and ensure that all developed solutions meet these standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with crossfunctional teams including development QA and product management to ensure that technical solutions meet business requirements and are aligned with company goals.
Must have competences
Technical Expertise: Proficiency in C# and .NET with a strong focus on clean code principles design patterns and API design.
Legacy System Knowledge: Experience with Windows Forms applications and a willingness to learn and adapt to our legacy system.
API Development: Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and experience with API development using C# and .NET.
Leadership: Proven experience in technical leadership with the ability to guide and mentor team members.
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
Nice to have competences
Cloud Experience: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS and experience with cloudbased API development.
DevOps: Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
Testing: Experience with unit testing integration testing and testing frameworks.
Further information
Sporadic onsite presence in Munich will be required. The majority of the work can be done from remote.
