SAP BW Data Scientist Analytics Expert

Our customer in the automotive industry has initiated a carveout project to transition an existing unit into an independent company. As part of this project SAP systems will be partially rebuilt adapted and implemented to meet the requirements of the new organization. Reporting frameworks will need to be adjusted or completely redesigned to fit the new SAP BW environment and meet the requirements of the new organization. The goal is to establish efficient standardized and futureproof processes tailored to the needs of the new organization.

To support this initiative we are seeking an experienced SAP BW Data Scientist / Analytics Expert. This is a fulltime role with occasional onsite presence in Hanover. The expected project duration is 612 months with the possibility of extension.

Tasks

• Perform advanced data analyses within the SAP BW environment to support datadriven business decisions.
• Leverage SAP BW data to develop Business Intelligence (BI) solutions and Data Science models.
• Design adjust or rebuild reporting frameworks to align with the new SAP BW landscape and organizational requirements.
• Connect and integrate SAP BW with analytics tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud Tableau or Power BI.
• Design and optimize reporting and analytics models that address complex datasets and business requirements.
• Collaborate with business and IT teams to identify and implement analytics and reporting requirements.
• Build and implement predictive models and machine learning techniques based on BW data.
• Ensure data quality and consistency across all reporting and analytics platforms.
• Document processes and provide knowledge transfer to end users and support teams.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science Business Informatics Data Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in SAP BW including data analysis BI development and reporting frameworks.
• Proven expertise in utilizing SAP BW data for Business Intelligence and Data Science purposes.
• Handson experience with BI and analytics tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience in redesigning or setting up reporting frameworks from scratch to meet new organizational and technical requirements.
• Familiarity with data modeling and ETL processes in the SAP BW context.
• Solid understanding of modern Data Science techniques including machine learning predictive analytics or statistical modeling.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Experience working with agile methodologies and international teams.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English (spoken and written).
