FUNCTION: Perform complex and intricate wiring tasks on prototype electrical systems assemblies breadboards or components working from a variety of written visual and verbal instructions with a high degree of skill. Works under the limited supervision of the senior manufacturing staff. Able to convey manufacturing issues to appropriate staff; such as Engineering Test and Quality.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Wire solder and assemble operations required in the construction of complex prototype electronic equipment IPC610 / JSTD certified preferred.
2. Work from schematics and/or block and wiring diagrams prints sketches and verbal instructions.
3. Able to incorporate engineering changes as necessary into final production assemblies noting critical information on wiring schematics assembly drawings and parts lists.
4. Perform cabling and harnessing.
5. Use all assembly tools such as: soldering irons pliers cutters strippers bench drill press.
6. Able to form and install semirigid coax.
7. Able to install and rework challenging components like BTCs QFNs QFPs BGAs etc. Using handheld hot air reflow method.
8. Perform PCBtobaseplate and transistortobaseplate soldering (sweat down) with various solders and temperatures using a hot plate.
9. Perform intricate rework on PCB circuitry to IPC 7711 / 7721 acceptance criteria.
10. Able to assist others in the Manufacturing Department with methods and processes up to and including their expected duties.
11. Maintain a positive work environment by professional and courteous conduct and communications with others including supervisors coworkers clients and vendors.
Requirements
- 5 years of highlevel wiring experience
- Familiarity with IPCA610 and JSTD001 standards for electronic assembly.
- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations the applicant must be a U.S. citizen lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (e.g. Green Card holder) or a protected individual as defined by the International Traffic in Arm Regulations (ITAR).
