Job Description

Renewables Technician Solar Farms (Two Locations)
Compensation: $26/hr $40/hr (DOE)

Are you passionate about renewable energy and eager to grow in a thriving industry Join our client a leader in renewable energy as a Renewables Technician at one of two solar farms located within 30 minutes of each other.   • Competitive Pay: Start at $26/hr for entrylevel experience with potential to earn $40/hr as a lead technician. Pay is determined by your technical skills and motivation demonstrated during the interview process.
  • Training & Development: Learn from senior technicians through onthejob training (OJT) and thirdparty training classes.
  • WorkLife Balance: MondayFriday schedule with minimal oncall duty (once a month for a week with an additional $2/hr during oncall shifts).

Your Role:

As a Renewables Technician you ll work in pairs to maintain and support the operation of solar panels at our client s facilities. You ll develop handson expertise and become a versatile technician in this rapidly expanding sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of solar panels to ensure optimal performance.
  • Reactive Maintenance: Address and resolve issues caused by weather or other impacts on equipment.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with senior technicians and team members to maintain smooth operations.

What We re Looking For:

  • Technical Background: Previous technical experience is required. Renewable energy experience is preferred but we welcome candidates with transferable skills from other industries.
  • Willingness to Learn: A positive attitude strong interpersonal skills and a desire to grow within the role.
  • Team Player: Ability to thrive in a small team environment. The current team includes 10 technicians supported by a staff of 15.

Requirements

Technical Background: Prior technical experience is required. Client prefers renewable experience but hiring manager is open to transitioning.

Personable and Willing to Learn: Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn and grow in the role.

Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a small team environment.
