The client is looking for individuals who must have their CPA license and have a minimum of three to six years of experience as a senior level accountant (or equivalent experience as deemed appropriate by the partners). They have technical proficiency with the ability to supervise complete engagements and effective management of a book of business. They will have five to ten years of overall experience in certified public accounting firms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and complete routine engagements.
- Supervise Tax Associates and Tax Seniors to provide feedback to them and evaluate their progress.
- Become experts in their assigned areas.
- Develop new client contacts and relationships beneficial to the firm.
- Assist in firm administrative functions as assigned by the partners.
- Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients.
- Highly proficient and knowledgeable in the firms policy and procedures.
- Partners discretion as to their overall ability and qualities to work effectively at this level.
Qualifications:
- US CPA designation
- Current work experience at another CPA firm in the US (510 years overall experience at another CPA firm)
- Minimum 4 years of US Tax experience: tax research tax return preparation tax engagements for corporations individual partnerships estate and trusts
- Bachelors degree in accounting MST preferred.
- Experience in supervising senior staff
- Must be able to work hybrid in the San Diego office
