Job Overview:
My client is seeking an experienced WordPress Developer to join their growing and energetic web team. In this role you will be responsible for building custom WordPress themes from inhouse designs developing bespoke plugins and ensuring the technical excellence of their digital projects. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting and complex web solutions for clients across different industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop bespoke WordPress themes based on inhouse design files.
- Build and integrate custom WordPress plugins to extend site functionality.
- Work on multiple websites ensuring scalability and performance.
- Collaborate on the creation of client portals staff portals and intranet systems.
- Integrate bespoke thirdparty solutions and APIs to enhance website functionality.
- Manage version control using GitHub and adhere to best practices for code management.
- Utilise Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) to build custom userfriendly backend interfaces.
- Work closely with UI/UX teams to ensure modern responsive and visually appealing designs are implemented.
- Continuously improve and optimise WordPress sites for speed security and SEO.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress sites and web development processes.
What Youll Be Working On:
- Custombuilt client and staff portals intranets and CRMs.
- Bespoke eCommerce platforms with tailored functionality.
- Complex integrations with thirdparty services and APIs.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Experience creating modern responsive UI designs.
- Strong JavaScript skills with experience in jQuery and handlebars.js.
- Proficiency in PHP with a focus on WordPress hooks and custom functionality.
- Familiarity with GitHub for version control.
- Experience in WordPress plugin development.
- Indepth knowledge of Advanced Custom Fields (ACF).
- Ability to work with custombuilt nontemplate websites providing tailored solutions.
