Senior Professional Piping Engineer to lead O & M design assurance for Offshore / FPSO Operations
Experience Needed Extensive indepth piping systems & layout design experience of 12 years covering OFFSHORE oil and gas production facilities preferably of FPSOs in a DESIGN environment. Experience in OFFSHORE facilities design is a MUST. Combination Experience of working within an Oil & Gas Operating Company is preferred and a significant advantage
Skills Knowledge & Other Attributes
Degree qualified in relevant engineering discipline. Proficient in the application of functional assurance processes with the ability to analyze problems assess risk profiles determine action and develop solutions communicating intentions and progress to all levels.
Knowledge
Good knowledge of International Codes and Standards used in the design of Piping Systems and Layout.
Proficient in the use of PDMS PDS and other associated software in support of design work.
Proficient in understanding Stress Analysis output from tools such as Caesar & AutoPipe & FEA studies
Good knowledge of pipe supports and pipe stress.
Good understanding of piping systems and correct tiein to equipment
Proficient in the knowledge of methods for maintenance and repair of piping systems
Knowledge of design inspection & repair of static equipment / pressure vessels is preferred and a significant advantage
Good awareness of best practices across the industry
Good understanding of how various engineering disciplines interact Other
Shall be fluent in English (oral and written)
Excellent presentation skills with ability to adapt style and content of presentation for both technical and nontechnical audiences

Summary
To deliver piping systems design assurance of the operating Oil & Gas facilities in compliance with Regulatory Company and International Codes & Standards for carrying out plant modifications brownfield project work and asset integrity related work (including preparing design deliverables and review / approval of the same by engineering contractors) and providing necessary technical O & M support.
Organizational Structure
Position reports to the Head of Engineering Assurance and serves as Technical Authority for Piping systems including plant layout considerations. Will be a member of a Team of Discipline Engineers within a matrix managed organization to support a number of Assets / Projects.
Key Accountabilities
The individual is duty bound to both themselves and those around them to ensure that safe practices are adhered to at all times whilst adopting exemplary safe behaviors per Company HSSE policies.
Demonstrate visible leadership and commitment to excellent HSSE performance in support of the Head of Engineering Assurance accountabilities
Provide discipline input into Asset Integrity Brownfield Projects & Operations / Maintenance work
Provide discipline input into the Management of Change
Provide discipline input into Operations Risk Assessment and other risk workshops as per Company standards and follow up on engineering related actions relating to risk response action plans
Review of concession requests relating to discipline and SCE elements.
Serve as the Barrier Owner with accountability for related SCE elements in the Operational Performance Standard / Safety Case
Monitor on a continuous basis that the unit performs within the design envelope & associated SCE performance standards
As the Barrier Owner with accountability for related SCE elements deliver the process for design verification by a third party for corresponding SCE elements.
Provide daytoday competent advice to the operations team within the discipline

Ensure that codes standards and functional specifications for piping systems design are suitable for their corresponding applications.
Undertake a review of previous lessons learned consider and incorporate appropriate learning into the design.
Participate in HAZIDs and HAZOPs and other HSSE related reviews.
Participate in Incident Investigations and Root Cause Analysis
Provide support for Inspection and Repair
Undertake Base support & Offshore Travel as per assigned Rota to meet the above job requirements and upon any requests from operations.
Prepare discipline engineering deliverables and provide input into scopes of work where such work is to be executed through a Consultancy organization
Undertake a review of previous lessons learned consider and incorporate appropriate learning into the design.

Monitor progress of the development of design deliverables and propose corrective actions in the event of potential schedule overrun. o Prepare technical and progress reports to support flow of key information to management to assist in decision making.
Participate in the procurement process (e.g. ITT requisition packages) through the evaluation of technical submissions including technical prequalification of vendors.
Support Operations in the development of the Operations Assurance Plan that describes the operational activities assurance requirements and deliverables including plans for readiness for handover and commissioning and approval.
Provide input to Bid for new projects / operating units

Physical Requirements
The job holder will be required to attend stipulated training pertaining to travelling and working offshore and pass their examinations to allow the necessary offshore visits to the operating facilities/platforms.
