- 1 MT to fill an night shift for 12 weeks
- Would need NY Medical Tech license. (CLT) Cannot accept MLT.
- Soft Lab and Safetrace training is a plus.
- Our needs: NYS licensed CLT (MT).
- Soft LIS experience and Safetrace experience for Blood Bank.
- Sysmex for Hematology
- Clinitek for urines
- ACL Tops for Coag
- Siemens Atellica or Vista or Centuar
- Radiometer for Blood gases.
Job Summary: We are looking for a detailoriented and skilled Medical Technologist to join our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of diagnostic tests that are crucial to patient care. You will be responsible for operating advanced laboratory equipment conducting tests analyzing results and ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities: - Perform diagnostic tests on blood tissue and other body fluids including chemical hematological microbiological and immunological tests.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment ensuring all devices are properly calibrated and functioning.
- Analyze test results and provide accurate and timely data to healthcare providers for patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Conduct routine quality control and proficiency testing to maintain high standards of lab results.
- Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling processing and analysis ensuring the integrity of the samples.
- Record and document test results accurately in the laboratory information system (LIS).
- Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to provide test interpretations and assist with medical inquiries.
- Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment adhering to health and safety guidelines including biohazard protocols.
Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Medical Technology Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field.
- Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) by a recognized agency such as ASCP or AMT.
- Strong understanding of laboratory procedures testing methodologies and equipment.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a highpaced environment.
- Proficiency in using laboratory information systems (LIS) and basic computer skills.
Skills: - Expertise in laboratory instrumentation and diagnostic testing.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve equipment and test anomalies.
- Ability to follow precise procedures and protocols.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management.
- Strong communication skills to effectively report and discuss findings.
