Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Islington to assist with the appointment of a Category Manager on a 3month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 26.50 35.17 per Hour
Responsibilities:
- To manage professionally a complex operational and/or strategic procurement and supply related activity within a senior management assigned category that demonstrates your advanced knowledge skills and abilities across a broad range of goods works and services.
- To achieve and record relevant savings demonstrating your understanding of total costs social value community wealth building inclusive economy fairness reduce inequality achieve net zero carbon and any other corporate ambitions/targets
- To utilise eprocurement and supply and finance systems effectively and in compliance with procedures and legislation to an auditable standard then to utilise such systems for wider complex procurement and supply purposes
- Supervises or Management of up to 5 in the procurement and supply field including work quantity/quality training welfare performance etc.
Qualifications:
- For PO5 Ofqual Level 5 (i.e. HND or higher) relevant: academic subject qualification; and/or professional vocational or technical qualification; and/or equivalent assessed professional accreditation and/or upskilling programme or apprenticeship at Level 5 being
performance managed and in probation to achieve in 24 months - Experience of using practical theoretical and technical knowledge within the definition of procurement and category management.

- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires a basic DBS
