Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry and a commitment to delivering highquality dishes and maintaining and building out our Operating Procedures as we still consider ourselves a new restaurant at just 2years old!
As a Sous Chef you will play a vital role in supporting the Chef in managing kitchen operations ensuring that all food production meets our standards and most importantly being a skilled teacher exhibiting emotional intelligence and leading with kindness and curiosity as a problem solver.
This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fastpaced environment and is eager to contribute to a dynamic kitchen team.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Chef in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Supervise kitchen staff providing training and guidance as needed.
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and order ingredients as necessary.
- Monitor food safety and sanitation practices to comply with health regulations.
- Collaborate with FOH on Private Event execution.
- Participate in menu development and seasonal offerings.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen management practices and food production techniques.
- Familiarity with dietary protocols and food service regulations.
- Excellent culinary skills with attention to detail in presentation and flavor profiles.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to positively motivate and manage kitchen staff.
- Knowledge of banquet service catering services is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- $2426 Base Pay
- Plus $13 Per Hour Tip Sharing
- Plus Paid Time Off equating to about 3% additional compensation
- Total Compensation Range: About $25$29 Per Hour
