Position: Lightening Protection Engineer
Career Trails is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lightening Protection Engineer to join our team with our West Sussex based client. This in a full time permanent position. As a Lightening Protection Engineer you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and protection of our clients buildings structures and systems from the damaging effects of lightening strikes.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement lightening protection systems for various types of buildings and structures
Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for lightening protection measures
Perform site surveys and inspections to identify potential hazards and determine the best placement for lightening protection equipment
Collaborate with architects engineers and other professionals to integrate lightening protection systems into building designs
Ensure compliance with all relevant codes standards and regulations
Provide technical support and guidance to clients and colleagues on lightening protection issues
Stay updated on industry developments and advancements in lightening protection technology
Manage project timelines budgets and resources effectively
Conduct training and education sessions for clients and staff on lightening protection best practices
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 1 years of experience in lightening protection design and installation Essential CSCS card
Strong knowledge of lightening protection codes and standards such as NFPA 780 and UL 96A
NVQ2 or NVQ3 LP Engineer solid understanding of BSEN62305 and BS6651 standards
Knowledge of Health and Safety at work 1978
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
