Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Lancashire to assist with the appointment of a Buildings Cleaner on a 5.5month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Hours per week:16.25
Rate of Pay: 11.44 14.11 per Hour
Responsibilities:
- To clean all internal and some external areas of University Buildings
- To use cleaning equipment as directed including buffers vacuums and scrubbers. To ensure all equipment is used in accordance with health and safety guidelines including the reporting of faults immediately.
- To use cleaning products in accordance with health and safety guidelines paying particular attention to the correct use of chemicals in accordance with COSHH regulations.
- To maintain the appearance of University areas and the exterior of buildings by removing unwanted posters etcetera and promote a positive image of the University at all times.
- To replenish toilet supplies as required and undertake tasks including dusting vacuuming carpet shampooing washing floors cleaning toilets and basic external cleaning as identified.
Qualifications:
- Basic level of literacy and numeracy required.
- To be able to understand instruction.
- Experience of working in a cleaning operation in a customer orientated environment.

- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
