Job Description
Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Utica NY 13502
Pay rate: $66/hourly
Duration: 13 Weeks
Guarantee Hours: 40
Your pay is based on whether you are in a local or travel position. A travel position is defined as residing more than 50 miles from the facility.

- 75 mile radius rule
- 8hour days
- 8A4:30P
- Cover: 1/2 time in RNC (Rehab and Nursing Center) 1/2 time in hospital (acute care)
- Swallowing bed evaluations required and video fluoroscopy experience preferred not required.
- Would need to be flexible to move with patient loads.
- Responsible for patient coverage within the Mohawk Valley Health System system. Areas of care include inpatient hospital acute rehab and outpatient clinic.
- Completion of clinical fellowship year required
- NY license required
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose communication and swallowing disorders.
- Develop personalized treatment plans and provide therapy services.
- Educate patients families and caregivers on therapy techniques.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and advocate for patients needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and promote prevention and wellness.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology (SLP).
- State licensure and optional certification through ASHA.
- Strong clinical and communication skills empathy and cultural competence.
- Commitment to ethical practice and professional standards.
