About the Role
As the Lead Veterinary Surgeon youll play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of the practice while delivering handson highquality care. Youll be a leader within the team with the opportunity to influence and guide a positive compassionate atmosphere for both staff and patients. In this role youll be entrusted with a variety of cases and responsibilities making every day as rewarding as it is fulfilling.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide expert clinical care including consultations diagnostics and surgeries.
- Lead a collaborative team working closely with the RVN to ensure high standards of care.
- Build longlasting relationships with pet owners and educate them on best practices for their pets health.
- Handle a diverse caseload including routine checkups emergency care and complex medical cases.
- Be the goto vet in the practice making decisions and overseeing the daytoday operations.
- Support and mentor junior team members ensuring their growth and development.
Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Surgeon (RCVS).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a qualified vet surgeon.
- Comfortable working as the sole charge vet in a practice.
- Strong communication skills with a compassionate approach to both pets and pet owners.
- Ability to work well within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
