Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Pontypridd to assist with the appointment of a Senior Engineer on a 2month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 29.50 36.54 per hour
Responsibilities:
- To make a positive contribution to the achievement of the objectives and performance targets as set out in the Business Plan for the Strategic Projects Section.
- To assist in the management of the resources financial human and physical of the Strategic Projects Section.
- To develop implement and manage the Local Flood Risk Strategy.
- To assist in the management and implementation of all requirements of the Land Drainage Act 1991 Flood and Water Management Act 2010 and Flood Risk Regulations 2009.
- To consider outline and detailed planning applications for their potential effects on local sources if flood risk and to respond accordingly to the Development Control Section.
Qualifications:
- Qualified to HNC/HND level in Civil or Environmental Engineering Environmental Science or a similar discipline.
- Knowledge of Drainage and/or Flood Risk Management
- Experience in Drainage and/or Flood Risk Management

- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
