Job Description
Power BI Development:
- Design develop and deploy Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Create and maintain efficient data models using Power BI.
- Implement rowlevel security on data and understand application security layer models in Power BI.
- Integrate Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics like Power BI service (SaaS) or by API automation.
- Develop and design custom visuals for Power BI.
SQL Development:
- Write complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from various databases.
- Develop maintain and optimize stored procedures functions and views.
- Perform data validation and troubleshooting to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Optimize database performance through indexing partitioning and query optimization techniques.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Gather and analyze business requirements to design and implement data solutions.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
- Conduct data profiling and data quality assessments to ensure accurate reporting.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to create adhoc reports and analyses as needed.
- Collaboration & Support:
- Work closely with crossfunctional teams including business analysts data engineers and IT staff.
- Provide training and support to endusers on Power BI and SQLrelated issues.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in Power BI SQL and data analytics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer and SQL Developer.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI including DAX and Power Query.
- Extensive experience with SQL databases (e.g. SQL Server MySQL PostgreSQL).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect organize analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other BI tools (e.g. PowerBI Tableua) is a plus.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Certification in Power BI or SQL is an advantage.
