Responsibilities
Assist in developing and refining system engineering concepts and oversee the design process to ensure alignment with construction budgets.
Conduct or coordinate reviews of existing installations interpreting and managing their impact on projects.
Prepare all necessary calculations and select appropriate equipment delegating tasks to Project Managers Designers and BIM Drafters as needed.
Ensure thorough coordination of documents with internal and external project teams including other disciplines interior designers and architects.
Review project deliverables (reports specifications calculations and drawings) for accuracy and compliance with quality management standards.
Enforce and promote company standards related to processes documentation and project administration.
Develop and refine project management processes to improve efficiency.
Coordinate with the contract administration team on processes drawing reviews and site activities delegating tasks to Project Managers as required.
Prepare or review all change notices.
Ensure tasks are completed accurately on time and within budget. Address technical and financial project queries and support accounts receivable processes.
Continuously monitor project schedules and task completion.
Seek opportunities to enhance client satisfaction and strengthen client relationships.
Collaborate with the Proposals team on proposal responses (RFPs).
Lead and assist with employee development performance reviews recruitment and employee relations.
Qualifications
10 years experience in electrical building services.
P.Eng. or P.L.Eng designation.
Indepth understanding of Canadian building codes and standards (e.g. ASHRAE NFPA CSA).
LEED accreditation or willingness to obtain it.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Experience managing multiple clients and projects in complex environments.
Demonstrated ability to chair client meetings and industry events with experience delivering professional presentations.
