Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This individual will lead mentor and develop a team of engineers and designers focused on creating highquality generator enclosures fuel tanks and related equipment.
  • Will oversee all stages of the electrical design process ensuring quality efficiency and adherence to safety standards.
  • Set clear team objectives manage performance and foster a collaborative innovative and safetyconscious work environment.
  • Coordinate team efforts to meet project deadlines quality standards and budget constraints.
  • Oversee the entire design process from concept development through final design ensuring alignment with project goals regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  • Develop and implement project schedules resource plans and budget allocations adjusting as necessary to meet evolving project needs.
  • Provide technical guidance and support on the design of electrical systems including power distribution controls and integration with mechanical and structural components.
  • Ensure designs meet all applicable electrical and safety codes industry standards and client specifications.
  • Work closely with crossfunctional teams including manufacturing procurement and quality assurance to address technical challenges and improve design processes.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance design processes reduce costs and improve product performance and reliability.
  • Promote and implement lean methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical inquiries related to design and engineering.
  • Work closely with sales and project management teams to understand customer requirements address concerns and deliver solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
  • Present design concepts project updates and technical recommendations to internal stakeholders and customers.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
  • 7 years of experience in electrical design for commercial construction or a related
  • 3 years in a leadership or management role overseeing engineering teams or large projects.
  • Indepth knowledge of electrical systems design power distribution and control systems specifically within the context of generator enclosures and fuel tanks.
  • Proficiency with design software (AutoCAD SolidWorks or similar) as well as project management tools.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and codes including NEC NFPA and UL standards.
  • This role requires a handson leader with exceptional technical expertise in electrical systems and a collaborative approach to managing teams and projects.
