Key Responsibilities
As the ADON you will support the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) and play a vital role in managing nursing operations and maintaining care standards:
- Leadership & Supervision:
- Assist with nursing management responsibilities and ensure quality care delivery.
- Oversee daily staffing processes and foster effective communication among staff.
- Support the recruitment hiring and orientation of new nursing staff.
- Clinical Operations:
- Conduct weekly wound/skin rounds and manage infection control measures.
- Ensure residents medical needs are met and maintain accurate medical records.
- Coordinate and direct the planning and implementation of nursing services.
- Flexibility & Responsiveness:
- Provide 24/7 oncall support to address operational needs.
- Adapt to unpredictable scheduling requirements to support facility operations.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of NY (required).
- 3 years of experience in longterm care settings (required).
- 2 years of management experience (preferred).
- 1 year of staff education experience (preferred).
- Strong communication organizational and leadership skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
