Location: Juno Beach FL / Remote

Job Overview
Join our clients Engineering & Construction Business Unit as a Principal Engineer Substation and play a key role in advancing highvoltage substation projects. You will manage projects from conception through commissioning ensuring compliance with industry standards while collaborating with crossfunctional teams to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of substation projects from Early Stage to Execution.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to define engineering requirements during the conceptual phase.
- Provide technical oversight and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (IEEE NESC ASCE etc.).
- Secure engineering resources and evaluate external consultants for project support.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to develop substation sites and secure necessary permits.
- Source and manage vendors for geotechnical survey and construction services.
- Align project designs with interconnection agreements and ISO requirements.
- Manage procurement of longlead materials to mitigate risks of delays and budget overruns.
- Support commissioning activities and regulatory processes as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering preferred.
- At least 7 years of experience in substation design and highvoltage engineering.
- Strong background in project engineering or project management.
- PMP or PE certification is a plus.
- Exceptional organizational communication and leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel within North America as required.
