Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and nuclear medicine equipment. Working under minimal supervision the technologist will collaborate with licensed physicians to assist in diagnosing and treating patients across all age groups from newborns to the elderly. This role requires a strong focus on delivering highquality imaging while ensuring patient safety and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals to obtain diagnostic and therapeutic results.
  • Assist healthcare practitioners in operating radiation detection equipment to support patient care.
  • Order prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals through injection ingestion or inhalation.
  • Safely identify handle and manage radioactive substances in compliance with established safety protocols.
  • Process and store imaging results ensuring proper documentation and accurate recordkeeping.
  • Ensure strict adherence to regulatory and safety standards in all procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) certification.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program.
  • Proficient in operating nuclear medicine equipment and handling radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Ability to work independently and apply sound judgment in clinical settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and team interaction.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to producing highquality diagnostic images.

Preferred Skills

  • 13 years of experience in a nuclear medicine setting.
  • Active state licensure (where required including for California).
