Job Description
Are you a highly organised and detailoriented individual with a passion for logistics and supply chain management We are seeking a dedicated Sea Freight Forwarder to join our team. If you excel in managing sea freight operations and ensuring efficient shipment handling we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities for the Sea Freight Forwarder
- Coordinate and manage sea freight shipments from origin to destination ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation including bills of lading packing lists and customs documentation.
- Communicate with carriers shipping lines and customers to arrange transport and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Monitor and track shipments providing regular updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Negotiate with shipping lines to secure competitive rates and contracts.
- Handle all customs clearance procedures and ensure compliance with international shipping regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all freight forwarding activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to optimise logistics operations and enhance service delivery.
Essential Skills and Qualifications for the Sea Freight Forwarder
- Bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field is nice to have but not required.
- Native Polish speaker with excellent command of English (C1).
- Proven experience in sea freight forwarding or a similar role within the export logistics industry (musthave).
- Strong understanding of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills with an eye for detail.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency with logistics software and tools is advantageous.
- Problemsolving mindset with the ability to handle unexpected challenges effectively.
