Job Description

Flowers Early Learning is a highquality preschool located in Niles Michigan and is currently looking for Bus Monitor serving classrooms with children ages 35.

Position Summary: The Bus Monitor assures compliance with Head Start policies and procedures Performance Standards Licensing Rules for Child Care Centers. Assists the Driver in providing safe transportation for authorized passengers. Reports to the assigned bus prior to the route rides the bus during the route completes route paperwork assures children are buckled in correctly and safely attends to passenger behavior and assists in ensuring a positive social climate.

Job Type: FullTime Program Year NonExempt

Expected Schedule: Split Shift start 6:45a10:15am off 10:15a12:15p and continue12:15p4:45p

Rate of Pay: HS/GED: $15.61 /hour Credential: $15.93 /hour AA: $17.84 /hour BA or Higher: $19.12 /hour

Education Requirement: High School Diploma GED equivalent or Head Start parent with 1 year experience working with young children.

Desired CDL with passenger and s endorsement or willing to obtain CDL with passenger and s endorsement within 3 years of hire and reimbursed upon completion.

Other Selection Criteria: All candidates must be over the age of 18yearsold for licensingmust complete a preemployment drug screen physical examination and comprehensive fingerprinted criminal background check and possess a valid drivers license and/or reliable transportation.
