Your opportunity

You will be joining the FinPod team which specialises in financial services but also engages in diverse projects. If you have an interest in Crypto Investment Trading or FinTech this is the ideal team for you. In addition to completing and finalising projects you will also have the opportunity to shape your path towards a supervisory role by reviewing the work of junior team members.

How you will make a difference

As a Senior within our accounts team you will play a pivotal role in contributing to the firms growth and success. You will leverage your technical expertise to cultivate partnerships with clients becoming one of our trusted business advisors and deliver exceptional service. You will be responsible for the preparation of various financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations and standards. In addition you will be contributing to the growth of the next generation of seniors coaching and supporting them on their career journey. You will:

  • Be the central point of contact for client work within a pod.
  • Prepare and review statutory accounts management accounts and tax returns on your portfolio of clients.
  • Take ownership of the various areas of the file that you will be responsible for.
  • Review and file VAT returns.
  • Mentor coach and train junior team members providing guidance feedback and onthejob training to support their professional development and enhance their skills.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with the manager providing regular progress updates escalating issues promptly and collaborating on resolving complex matters.
  • Proactively manage budgets and time reporting ensuring accurate and timely recording of billable hours and adherence to agreedupon budgets and timelines.
  • Foster strong client relationships by consistently delivering excellent client service maintaining professionalism and effectively communicating findings and recommendations.
  • Continuously enhance your technical knowledge skills and industry expertise through selfstudy firmprovided training and onthejob learning opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices and quality control processes within the ABS department.

You will be ideal for this role if you:

  • ACA/ACCA Qualified or an equivalent internationally recognised professional accounting qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant UK work experience.
  • Must have experience in FRS 102 1 A
  • FRS 10 2 experience would be advantageous to have
  • Experience in managing multiple statutory accounts to completion.
  • Experience in crypto stripe prs or ecommerce would be advantageous
  • Experience in VAT Corporate & Personal Tax
  • Thorough knowledge of current accounting standards techniques and best practice.
  • Proven track record of successfully executing and reporting on accounts with feedback to clients.
  • Exceptional communication negotiation and client relationship management skills with a collaborative approach.
  • Ability to provide guidance/training to junior staff members.
  • Strong analytical problemsolving and critical thinking skills.
