At Thule Group were on an exciting growth trajectory and were expanding our Engineering Team to take our sports and cargo solutions to the next level. From bike racks and roof boxes to carriers for skis kayaks and more were developing worldclass products that empower active individuals to easily transport their gearwhether its for biking skiing or any other outdoor adventure.

As a Design Engineer for Bike Solutions youll have the unique chance to drive innovation within the biking category designing products that make it easier and safer for bikers to transport their bikes and accessories. From the drawing board to the final product youll play a key role in designing solutions that integrate cuttingedge technology superior functionality and premium designall with a focus on sustainability.

What Youll Be Doing:

  • Designing and developing new biking transportation products including bike carriers and accessories that meet Thules highquality standards.
  • Driving the product development cycle from ideation to industrialization ensuring products are developed on time within budget and to Thules performance standards.
  • Evaluating technical solutions including materials selection (steel aluminum plastics) manufacturing processes and aesthetic design.
  • Working closely with crossfunctional teamsproject managers simulation engineers prototype makers and moreto deliver toptier products.
  • Leveraging our stateoftheart prototype and test facilities to refine designs through handson testing.

What Were Looking For:

  • A Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience) with relevant work experience in design engineering.
  • Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
  • Knowledge of materials like steel aluminum and plastics and a deep understanding of their application in our products.
  • A handson approach to product development with a strong preference for those who enjoy working on prototypes and testing ideas.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • An understanding of creating clear drawings and specifications that are easy to manufacture and understand.
  • Fluency in Englishits the main language we use for communication.

About our Global Product Development Department
Globally we are over 250 engineers out of the majority is working in our Global Product Development Center in Hillerstorp (Sweden). Our cross functional team consists of highly skilled and motivated members with a wellbalanced variety of experiences. We are a truly global company with an international and multicultural team. English is the language we use in our daily communication. We see a great future with continued passion for product development that is so vital for our growth as a company. We set great value in our working environment and offer great premises designed for product development. In our Global R&D center in Hillerstorp we have expanded with new offices landscapes team rooms and creative areas but also great prototype areas including cut & sew and electronics lab.
