Were Looking for a Medical Journalist to Join EMJs Editorial Team!
Are you passionate about medical news cuttingedge advancements and healthcare innovation EMJ a leading medical publisher is searching for an enthusiastic Medical Journalist to drive our hourly SEOoptimised news strategy covering the latest breakthroughs across 18 therapy areas. This is a unique opportunity to elevate your journalism career within a fastgrowing organisation at the forefront of global medical education.
As a Medical Journalist youll research write and report toptrending stories attend major European congresses and conduct interviews with thought leadersall to keep healthcare professionals informed and empowered.
What Youll Be Doing:
- Sourcing and writing SEOoptimised news on medical research public health policies and global healthcare trends.
- Publishing medically accurate searchengineoptimised articles in EMJs house style daily.
- Attending international congresses and press briefings providing written and video coverage of key events.
- Conducting interviews (written and video) with healthcare experts and KOLs.
- Monitoring emerging health trends and providing insightful coverage through EMJs lens.
- Collaborating with the editorial team to adapt content for multiple platforms including the web email and social media.
- Contributing to the growth of EMJs podcast series and building a network of specialists across diverse clinical fields.
What Were Looking For:
- A Bachelors degree in journalism publishing or a scientific discipline.
- A keen interest in medical or scientific writing with the ability to communicate complex medical concepts to a professional audience.
- Strong writing and editing skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in content SEO Google Trends and WordPress.
- Confidence in front of a camera for interviews and video reporting.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple projects.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and the ABPI code of practice is a plus.

Key Information
- Salary:30000
- Hours: 8.30am 5pm MonFri
- Working pattern: Hybrid min 3 days in the office (FT in office during probation)
- Reporting to:Managing Editor
- Location: Our buzzing London/Moorgate office
We operate a hybrid working environment. Wed expect to see you in the office at least 3 days a week. During your probation though youll be in with us all five daysits the best way to get you up to speed and support your development. So if youre after something fully remote this probably wont be the right fit we encourage people in office where we people are achieving their personal and professional goals.
