In 2022 Instabee was founded after combining Budbee and Instabox two leading lastmile delivery companies with three consumerfacing brands: Budbee Instabox and Porterbuddy. Instabee serves millions of consumers across Europe with convenient deliveries and is on track to become the leading European ecommerce enabler. Always with the consumer at heart.

Were fast both in terms of parcel delivery and when it comes to growing our business. So far our journey has taken us from Sweden to the rest of Scandinavia and parts of continental Europe but we have no plans on stopping anytime soon. As we continue to expand the complexity of Instabee grows in parallel. With that in mind were now looking for you to help us on the journey ahead.

About the role
Were now looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join our Box Team and shape the future of one of Swedens most impactful delivery products: our Box systems. Your work will ensure they operate seamlesslyno matter the circumstances.

In this role youll focus on designing building and maintaining the systems that power our parcel box network from scaling backend services in the cloud to ensuring reliable operation even with unstable connectivity and unexpected user behaviors. Youll be involved in technical decisionmaking architecture and handson coding making this an excellent opportunity for those who thrive on solving complex challenges.

With us youll have the chance to make a big impact on both the technology we use and the experience we provide to our users working closely with our product design and other engineering teams.

Your future team

The Box Team is responsible for developing and maintaining all software related to our box network and its backend systems. As an autonomous team we take full ownership of our product. From design to deployment allowing us to move quickly experiment and innovate. As a key part of this team youll work on creating robust scalable and innovative solutions that ensure our box services run smoothly across Europe. Collaboration and communication are at the heart of what we do and your expertise will be vital to our continued success.

What Were Looking For
We are looking for a communicative senior engineer with at least 5 years of work experience If you are a skilled problem solver who loves coding collaborating and making complex things work then this is the place for you! We value individuals who are keen to learn and your eagerness to develop your skill set will probably be your strongest asset when joining us. Beyond that we imagine that you have the following:

• 5 years of experience as a Backend Developer in a modern tech environment

• Proficiency in Golang

• Experience with Node.js React MQTT is a plus.

• Handson experience with Kubernetes Terraform and GCP (or another cloud provider).

• Experience in working with an agile development methodology.

• Experience with IoT is a big plus since the team is responsible for managing the software of our Box fleet.

• While we are looking for a Backend Developer the team does frontend development as well with the most critical one being the UI on the boxes. If you are interested in it there are opportunities to work on frontend tasks as well.
