Job Description
We are working with a large sized awardwinning engineering consultancy specialising in Building Services who are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team in Manchester.
Our client has a wealth of experience and have built a reputation for innovative design and sustainable solutions that enhance the built environment. Their team of passionate professionals work on a diverse range of projects from iconic landmarks to cuttingedge developments.
Tasks
- Lead and manage electrical design projects from concept to completion ensuring they meet the highest technical and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the MEP Projects team to develop integrated design solutions that align with the projects goals and objectives.
- Conduct detailed electrical calculations system design and specifications to deliver efficient and sustainable solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Interface with clients and stakeholders effectively communicating project progress and design recommendations.
- Stay updated on industry trends codes and standards to ensure designs are compliant and incorporate the latest technologies.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical engineering design with a strong background in building services.
- Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or actively working towards it is a bonus.
- Proficiency in using industrystandard design software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Knowledge of sustainable and energyefficient design practices is highly desirable.
- Membership in a relevant professional institution (e.g. IET CIBSE) is an advantage.
