Contract/Subcontract Manager
Job Summary:
The Contract/Subcontract Manager is responsible for providing commercial and contract management support to the Commercial Director and the business unit. The role holder will be the primary commercial and contract contact between TCS and its clients/suppliers overseeing contract management throughout the entire Contract Life Cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide commercial and contract management support to the Commercial Director and the business unit
- Lead and/or carry out commercial and contract management activities for designated contracts including:
- General commercial management responsibilities
- Contract administration and documentation
- Commercial responses and strategy development
- Contract review and negotiation
- Change control and contract documentation
- Contract meetings and actions
- Deliverables development and approval
- Prepare and/or review contractual documents including NDAs Teaming Agreements and subcontracts
- Prepare and negotiate new contracts and amendments to existing contracts
- Provide guidance on compliance to terms and conditions and identify potential liabilities risks and issues
- Support subcontract negotiations and identify potential supply chain gaps
- Interpret contracted requirements for the project team and maintain contractual records and documentation
Desirable Skills:
- Considerable knowledge of government ICT/outsource contracts
- Experience in drafting and negotiating complex contracts and agreements
- Comprehensive understanding of commercial risks and issues
- Proven track record of successful commercial proposal preparation and negotiation
- Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to identify and implement change within the commercial function
- Computer literate
- Relevant degree (desirable)
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g. CIPS) (desirable)
