Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer Buildings to join our dynamic team in Toronto. In this role you will lead the design construction support and commissioning of electrical systems for various building projects. You will play a key role in creating innovative solutions ensuring compliance with codes and mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design construction and commissioning of electrical systems for building projects including power distribution lighting and life safety systems.
- Prepare specifications design drawings and documentation for electrical systems.
- Develop and review test procedures for system validation.
- Perform detailed design of equipment layouts wiring cabling and electrical schematics.
- Conduct field reviews site inspections and provide construction support.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other building systems.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering; valid Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng.) registered with PEO.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in designing and managing electrical systems for buildings.
- Indepth knowledge of building electrical systems including power distribution lighting and life safety systems.
- Familiarity with Canadian and North American electrical codes and standards.
- Experience with design software such as AutoCAD Revit and electrical calculation tools.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
Preferred Skills:
- Master s degree in Electrical Engineering is an asset.
- Familiarity with sustainable design principles and energyefficient systems.
- Experience in complex largescale building projects.
