Position Overview:
Critical Power Group (CPG) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager Data Center Installations to lead and oversee the successful planning execution and delivery of data center installation projects. This role is integral to ensuring that projects meet client expectations adhere to timelines and comply with all technical and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within missioncritical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan coordinate and execute data center installation projects including electrical mechanical and environmental systems.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients contractors and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and manage project schedules budgets and resource allocation to ensure timely and costeffective delivery.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to review project specifications and ensure technical accuracy.
- Oversee onsite activities ensuring adherence to safety protocols quality standards and project requirements.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks or issues to avoid delays and ensure smooth project progression.
- Manage procurement and logistics of equipment ensuring timely delivery and compatibility with project needs.
- Conduct regular status meetings providing updates to stakeholders and addressing concerns as they arise.
- Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation including progress reports change orders and closeout packages.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and clientspecific guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering Construction Management or a related field.
- 5 years of project management experience preferably in data center or missioncritical environments.
- Proven expertise in managing projects involving power systems cooling systems and IT infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of data center components such as UPS systems PDUs and environmental controls.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project Primavera or similar software.
- Exceptional organizational communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- PMP certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in data center installations.
- Willingness to travel as required for onsite management and client meetings.
