Job Description

Position Summary:

The Legal Senior Manager or Director is responsible for overseeing the daytoday operations of the legal department and providing strategic legal guidance to support the universitys objectives. This role involves managing complex legal issues ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations and advising senior management on legal matters critical to the companys success. The Legal Senior Manager or Director will lead a team of legal professionals handle highprofile legal projects and collaborate with various departments to address legal risks and opportunities. Key duties include reviewing and drafting legal documents managing legal disputes and contributing to the development of legal strategies in alignment with the universitys goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Legal Guidance and Advisory:

  • Provide professional legal advices to the management and other departments on a range of legal issues.
  • Support strategic decisionmaking by identifying legal implications and advising on risk management.

Document Review and Drafting:

  • Review draft and negotiate a variety of legal documents including contracts agreements and corporate policies.
  • Ensure that all documents comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Legal Risk Management:

  • Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Proactively address and resolve legal issues that arise in business operations.

Complex Legal Projects:

  • Manage complex legal projects that involve multiple stakeholders and require crossfunctional collaboration.
  • Ensure projects are completed effectively and efficiently.

Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:

  • Ensure the organizations compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Monitor changes in legal and regulatory environments and adjust company policies as needed.

Dispute Resolution and Litigation:

  • Oversee the management of legal disputes and litigation including coordinating with external counsel as necessary.
  • Develop strategies for effective dispute resolution.

Policy Development and Implementation:

  • Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to support organizational objectives and ensure compliance.
  • Review and update policies as required to reflect changes in the legal landscape.

Special Projects and Additional Duties:

  • Undertake special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or higher in Law.
  • Minimum of 10 years of corporate legal experience with an excellent understanding of Thailands laws and regulations.
  • Proven track record of handling complex legal matters and leading a legal team.
  • Experience in labor law common law claims general lawsuits related to employee third parties and etc.
  • Experience in real estate complex lease rent & service contract and structure.
  • Experience in MOUs commercial negotiation.
  • Experience in data and document centralized system to store important data (legal other stuffs).
  • Legal compliance with Office of the Ministry of Higher Education Science Research and Innovation is a plus.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly to nonlegal stakeholders
