Job Title: Automation Sales Representative
Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and selfdriven Automation Sales Representative to join our team. This individual will play a pivotal role in identifying engaging and developing relationships with potential customers for our automation and controls solutions. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial technically savvy and passionate about driving sales growth in the industrial automation sector.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research to identify prospective automation customers and maintain a target customer list including key sales contact information.
- Initiate contact with target customers via cold calling email outreach and social media engagement. Utilize networking strategies to turn cold leads into warm opportunities.
- Meet with prequalified target customers to present company capabilities and explore potential automation and controls projects.
- Track and document sales activities customer interactions and the status of ongoing opportunities within the sales pipeline.
- Develop and deliver sales proposals for control system integration and related services including cost estimation and proposal documentation.
Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in industrial sales of automation or controls systems products or services.
- Proficiency in telemarketing and coldcalling to generate leads.
- Strong skills in technical sales proposal development and cost estimating.
- Familiarity with leveraging social media platforms for business promotion and lead generation.
- A selfstarter attitude with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Strong work ethic a customerfocused mindset and a desire for professional growth.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and maintain dependable commitments.
- Willingness to travel locally and across the U.S. (up to 20%).
- Coursework in engineering technical or scientific disciplines is preferred but not required.
