Are you an expert in ensuring the quality of APIs In this role as a Test Engineer you will have the opportunity to contribute to the flawless functioning of integrations within applications. What will you be doing as a Test Engineer
- Test preparation: After the daily standup you join a refinement session to discuss acceptance criteria for key changes. You provide guidance to your team on what to focus on during testing.
- Problemsolving: At 11:00 AM you review incoming bug reports such as a malfunctioning API. Together with a colleague you investigate the issue and ensure a swift resolution.
- Writing test scenarios: After lunch you work on drafting test scenarios for the upcoming sprint ensuring clear documentation.
- Reviewing existing tests: You check existing test scenarios and update outdated ones.
Additional Responsibilities as a Test Engineer
- Setting priorities: You decide which tasks take precedence. If there s an issue with an integration you address it immediately in consultation with the developers.
- Collaboration with developers: When an integration fails a test you brainstorm solutions together.
- Sharing expertise: You share your testing vision and improvement ideas with the organization contributing to the evolution of the testing process.
Requirements
Your Profile as a Test Engineer
- Strong communication skills both with technical specialists and the business.
- A critical and analytical mindset.
- Experience with test automation.
- Experience with Agile and/or DevOps teams is a plus.
- Knowledge of HTML CSS JavaScript Cypress Playwright BrowserStack and Jira.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab GitHub or Azure DevOps is desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch.
