Job Description

On behalf of our partner agency in Switzerland we are recruiting for an English speaking international family moving to Switzerland in 2025.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a professional loving career nanny to work for a fun young family in UK Switzerland and when they travel for holiday or work engagements.

The family is moving to Crans Montana a beautiful town and resort in the high alps. The area has plenty of facilities social and sporting opportunities. The family can arrange a ski pass for nanny if she likes to ski.

If nanny is able to she can start working for the family while they are in the UK between January and March. Otherwise you can start work for them in Switzerland from the end of March when they will move to Switzerland (they will have visits back to the UK). Their little daughter will be attending the nearby very good school. The family is expecting to expand their family next year.

The nannys role will be a mixture of sole charge shared care and also some proxy parenting. The family values routine and life at home will be fairly planned and structured. They like to keep structure when they travel as it makes things so much easier.

They are an easygoing relaxed family who are keen to provide their children with a natural and traditional childhood. Their daughter adores books stories crafting and going to the park and playground. She doesnt yet know about screens and sugar for instance.

The family is looking for a nanny who shares their childrearing views.

This family is happy loving conscientious and cheerful and are looking for a nanny who is similarminded.

Nanny should be looking for a long term position as they really want the children to bond with nanny and vice versa and stay for years!

They would love to engage a Norland nanny but if that is not possible due to passports then someone who has other similar qualifications in childcare.

They hope to be able to offer their nanny her own separate apartment or annexe but initially she may need to live in their house for the first weeks. She would have her separate bedroom and bathroom of course.

It is very helpful if the nanny can:

Drive (car provided)

Ski

Swim

Prepare nutritious meals for children (batch cooking also)

Requirements

Warm easygoing and kind personality with a genuine love for children.

Nonsmoking position.

Strong communication skills able to speak good English. A French speaker could be advantageous.

Experience caring for babies and toddlers with the ability to plan engaging ageappropriate activities.

Patient and creative in engaging young children introducing games and spending time outdoors.

Physically active and enjoys outdoor activities aligning with the family s love for nature and a sporty lifestyle.

Flexible and adaptable to the family s schedule including occasional changes in parents work hours or plans.

Willingness to support with light childrelated household duties such as tidying the kitchen and assisting with meal preparation.

Ability to maintain a clean and organized personal space if living in.

Ability to work collaboratively with parents when they are present at home.

Up to date Enhanced DBS

Full driving licence and able to drive locally

Recent Paediatric First Aid certificate

Right to work in Switzerland (EU or Swiss passport or Swiss work permit valid for the next few years)

Good references for recent and relevant nanny work

Childcare qualifications

Able to run after small children

Good references for recent and relevant nanny jobs Able to drive and holding full driving licence Please note this is a strictly non-smoking position Up to date, criminal history check Recent Paediatric First Aid certificate Right to work in Switzerland, or EU passport Speak fluent English, or good English and fluent French.
