Job Description
Position Title: Physician Specialist
Address: 500 State Hospital Dr Osawatomie KS 66064
Shift hours: MF 8:00 a.m. 4:30 pm
Facility Name: Psychiatric Hospital
Duration: 36 months
Openings: 1
Responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric and medical services.
- Admit evaluate and treat patients in accordance with facility standards.
- Document assessments treatments and discharge plans in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Enter medication orders using the WinPharm pharmacy system.
- Actively participate in individualized multidisciplinary treatment planning and discharge coordination.
- Contribute to hospitalwide performance improvement activities and medical staff assignments.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to prepare court reports and serve as an expert witness during hearings.
Qualifications:
- Completion of medical school training.
- Residency in Psychiatry or at least two years of an approved residency training program.
- Active medical license in Kansas.
- Experience and expertise in psychiatric and medical medications.
