Job Description
Summary:
The Structured Cabling Project Manager is responsible for planning coordinating and overseeing the installation and maintenance of structured cabling systems including copper and fiber optic networks. This includes managing project scope timelines budgets and teams while ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop project plans budgets and schedules.
- Oversee installation and quality control of cabling systems.
- Manage and support field technicians and subcontractors.
- Serve as the primary client contact for project updates and issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g. TIA/EIA BICSI) and safety protocols.
- Track project progress costs and deliverables; provide final reporting.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience; 35 years in structured cabling or telecommunications project management.
- Certifications: Preferred PMP BICSI (RCDD or equivalent) or OSHA safety certification.
- Skills: Strong project management leadership and communication skills with expertise in structured cabling systems and industry standards.
This role requires a proactive leader capable of delivering highquality cabling solutions on time and within budget.
