The potential candidate for the CEO role of the company must have strong leadership experience in a big size business with a high level of complexity. While FMCG experience will be beneficial it is not imperative rather the individual must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Their ability to lead a large and diverse team across several different locations.
- Experience in either the CEO role or a very senior role in a similar size company.
- Experience in operating in a complex and unpredictable economic environment.
- Past leadership successes with a team of similar size and skill diversity.
- A strong owners mindset with total accountability for their actions.
- Being adaptable and respond to changes and uncertainties in the market.
- Implementation of the strategy as agreed by the board.
- Ability to make informed and timely decisions especially when dealing with complex and unpredictable situations.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and be able to manage stress effectively to lead the team through unpredictable times.
- Ability to be an effective communicator with clear and transparent communications to stakeholders employees bankers and customers.
- Ability to build trust with team members and stakeholders.
- A strong financial acumen with financial experience being able to manage resources efficiently.
- Ability to identify and manage risk.
- Uphold strong ethical standards and corporate governance
- Hands on management.
- Entrepreneurial mindset.
Requirements
Having experience of running a large company in Zimbabwe will be highly beneficial.
The company is looking for a strong experienced candidate that meets all the above requirements. The candidate should ideally be a Zimbabwe citizen or permanent resident if they are currently working outside the country relocation is an option.
