Our client is a manufacturer and distributor of highintegrity machine tools and one of the leading indigenous Agribusiness in Nigeria. Due to Expansion they are currently in need of a GENERAL MANAGER to join their Cashew Processing factory.
LOCATION: Osogbo Osun State.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee daily production processing and packaging operations.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards (HACCP ISO22000).
- Manage inventory logistics and supply chain.
- Implement efficient production planning and scheduling.
- Develop and execute business plans budgets and performance targets.
- Analyze market trends competition and customer requirements.
- Identify opportunities for growth expansion and process improvements.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers customers and stakeholders.
- Manage plant finances including budgeting forecasting and cost control.
- Optimize profitability through efficient operations and cost reduction.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Lead and manage a team of production technical quality and administrative staff.
- Foster a culture of safety quality and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (FDA USDA).
- Implement and maintain quality control systems (ISO 9001).
- Oversee food optimum safety and hygiene practices.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor s degree in food science Engineering Business Administration or related field.
- 15 years of experience in food processing preferably in cashew processing.
- Vast international knowledge of food safety regulations quality control and industry standards.
- Proven leadership and management skills.
- Certification in food safety (e.g. HACCP FSMA).
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
15 years of experience in food processing, preferably in cashew processing. Vast international knowledge of food safety regulations, quality control, and industry standards. Proven leadership and management skills. Certification in food safety (e.g., HACCP, FSMA). Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
Education
Bachelor s degree in food science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
