Job Description

Our client one of South Africa s leading stateowned enterprises is seeking to appoint a Junior Resource in Richards Bay Kwazulu Natal 09 January 2024 31 May 2025 to support their Finance Department with the identification and quantification of PFMA (Public Finance Management Act) violations within their Schedule 2 entities. If you are a proactive detailoriented professional with a solid background in auditing accounting and PFMA compliance this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to one of the most critical functions in the public sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Payment Verifications & Review: Conduct thorough verifications and reviews of all payments to identify PFMA violations ensuring compliance with the PFMA and their SCM (Supply Chain Management) policies.
  • Remedial Plan Actions: Address outstanding actions as stipulated in the PFMA Remedial Plan contributing to the timely resolution of compliance gaps.
  • PFMA Compliance Reporting: Assist with reporting and compliance obligations related to PFMA requirements.
  • Additional PFMA Duties: Perform any other duties as necessary to support the PFMA department s objectives and goals.




Requirements

  • B.Com Accounting Degree (with majors in Auditing and Accounting) or BTech Internal Audit.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in PFMA compliance particularly in relation to Schedule 2 entities
