Job Description

We re seeking a motivated and resultsdriven Senior Payroll Specialist to join our team.
At MH Besium we specialize in providing small businesses with streamlined financial solutions empowering them to focus on growth. We are looking for a detailoriented Senior Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role involves managing payroll operations to ensure accurate timely payment of employees while maintaining compliance with tax and labor regulations. This fully remote position offers an hourly pay of $26.50 and a flexible schedule designed to fit your lifestyle.
The Senior Payroll Specialist oversees payroll processes for our clients ensuring accuracy and compliance. This role requires advanced payroll knowledge meticulous attention to detail and the ability to resolve payrollrelated discrepancies efficiently. Youll also play a vital role in maintaining client trust by ensuring their employees are paid correctly and on time.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage endtoend payroll processing for multiple clients ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Calculate and withhold payroll taxes ensuring compliance with federal state and local regulations.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records including timesheets employee data and tax documents.
  • Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries promptly.
  • Stay updated on payroll laws and regulations implementing necessary changes to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare and deliver payroll reports summaries and yearend statements (e.g. W2s 1099s).
  • Use payroll software to streamline processes and maintain data security.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients regarding payroll services and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of payroll management experience preferably in a multiclient environment.
  • Associate degree in Accounting Finance or a related field; bachelor s degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g. ADP Paychex Gusto) and advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state payroll regulations tax laws and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional accuracy and ability to manage sensitive financial data with discretion.
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies efficiently.
  • Professional certifications (e.g. Certified Payroll Professional CPP) are a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication for collaborating with clients and resolving issues effectively.

Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain accurate financial records for assigned clients. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy. Generate detailed financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow summaries. Ensure proper documentation and processing of payroll transactions, as needed. Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and best practices. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by answering bookkeeping-related queries and providing proactive financial insights. Utilize bookkeeping software and tools to maintain efficiency and accuracy. Assist in training junior bookkeepers, ensuring adherence to company standards and processes. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a professional services setting. Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; bachelor s degree preferred. Proficiency in bookkeeping software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel. Exceptional organizational skills and accuracy in handling financial data. Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to resolve financial discrepancies. Excellent verbal and written communication for collaborating with clients and team members. Bookkeeping or accounting certifications (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper, QuickBooks Certification) are a plus.
