A nonprofit organization committed to educational development and improvement in Nigeria is looking to hire an HR/People Development Manager that will be responsible for leading all aspects of human resource management and fostering a culture of growth innovation and inclusion within the Foundation. This individual will oversee recruitment employee engagement training performance management and organizational development to ensure a highperforming motivated and missionaligned team.
Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition and Recruitment:
- Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Oversee endtoend recruitment processes including job postings interviews and onboarding.
- Build strong pipelines for current and future staffing needs.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and design professional development programs for staff.
- Implement leadership development initiatives and career progression plans.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to enhance team skills and alignment with organizational goals.
Performance Management:
- Establish performance evaluation systems and metrics.
- Support managers in conducting performance reviews and setting development goals.
- Ensure a culture of continuous feedback and recognition.
Employee Engagement and Retention:
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture aligned with the Foundation s mission and values.
- Organize teambuilding activities wellness programs and employee engagement initiatives.
- Act as a trusted advisor for employees addressing concerns and promoting job satisfaction
HR Policy and Compliance:
- Develop implement and maintain HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws organizational policies and ethical standards.
- Handle employee relations issues mediating and resolving conflicts as needed.
Organizational Development:
- Design and implement initiatives to improve team collaboration and effectiveness.
- Support organizational change management efforts and build internal capacity for growth.
- Partner with leadership to shape and implement strategic HR objectives.
HR Operations and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate HR records and data ensuring confidentiality.
- Prepare reports on HR metrics workforce trends and organizational performance.
- Oversee payroll benefits administration and staff welfare programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Human Resource Management Organizational Development Business Administration or related field.
- 35 years of experience in Human Resources professional approachable and firm when required.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate and manage diverse teams with different ethnic backgrounds.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
- Proven track record in talent development employee engagement and performance management.
3-5 years of experience in Human Resources, professional, approachable, and firm when required. Education
